What PingPlug connects to

Every page here says how the connection is actually made — an official API, your own credentials, or a webhook you point somewhere. Where something is a webhook rather than a one-click connector, the page says so, because that is the difference between an afternoon of setup and none.

WhatsApp Cloud API

PingPlug is built on Meta’s WhatsApp Cloud API. You connect a WhatsApp Business account registered under your own Meta business, and PingPlug calls Meta’s API with credentials you supply. Your number, your templates and your Meta billing stay in your name.

Instagram

Yes — PingPlug connects Instagram direct messages through Meta’s official messaging API, so DMs land in the same shared inbox as WhatsApp and Messenger. It needs a professional Instagram account linked to a Facebook Page, which is Meta’s requirement rather than ours.

Facebook Messenger

Yes — connect your Facebook Page and Messenger conversations arrive in the same shared inbox as WhatsApp and Instagram, answerable by your whole team rather than whoever owns the Page login.

Meta Lead Ads

Yes — when someone submits a Facebook or Instagram lead ad form, Meta notifies PingPlug and the submission becomes a contact straight away. No CSV download, no waiting until somebody remembers to check Ads Manager.

Google Sheets

A PingPlug automation can send contact and lead data to a Google Sheet. It does this by posting JSON to a URL you provide, which in practice means a Google Apps Script you deploy on your own sheet. There is no OAuth "connect your Google account" button, and calling it a native integration would be overselling it.

Webhooks

Any PingPlug automation can post JSON to a URL you control. That is how PingPlug connects to systems it has no built-in integration for — your own API, an internal tool, a spreadsheet endpoint, or a workflow service you already pay for.

Email / SMTP

Yes — connect your own SMTP credentials and email campaigns are sent from your address. Gmail, Google Workspace and Outlook have ready-made presets, and any other provider works if you have its SMTP host, port and credentials.

AI Providers

PingPlug’s chatbot runs on an AI provider you choose: Anthropic Claude, OpenAI GPT, Google Gemini or Groq. You supply the API key and the provider bills you directly for what it uses. Groq and Gemini both have free tiers, so it can genuinely cost nothing.
