the United States
Most US businesses reach their customers by SMS or email, and WhatsApp is where the rest of them are — international customers, immigrant communities, and anyone who moved to it years ago and never moved back. That traffic usually lands on one person's phone, so nobody else can see what was promised, and it stays invisible to whatever CRM the rest of the business runs on.
Priced and billed in US dollars
The plans are $10, $30 and $50 a month, charged in dollars, with no conversion and no local-currency footnote. Pakistan and India see their own prices; everywhere else, the US included, sees these.
Invoices and deals in USD
USD is one of nine invoice currencies and one of a hundred a deal can be valued in, so a pipeline covering both US and overseas customers does not have to be kept in one currency and converted in someone's head.
STOP is enforced, not just recorded
A customer replying STOP, UNSUBSCRIBE, CANCEL or REMOVE ME is tagged automatically, and that tag is checked by every path that sends: broadcasts, campaigns, email sends, and the retry that finishes a partly-failed campaign. The match is on the whole message, so "stop by the shop at 5" is not treated as an opt-out.
The official Meta Cloud API, so no carrier registration
WhatsApp messages travel over Meta's API rather than the US carrier network, so there is no 10DLC brand and campaign registration to complete first — that system governs SMS. Meta applies its own rules instead: templates it approves before you can open a conversation, and a quality rating and messaging limit per number, both of which PingPlug shows you and watches for changes.
Your existing WhatsApp Business number
You connect the number you already use, through Meta. Nothing is migrated, no new number is issued, and the history on the phone stays where it is.
WhatsApp may be the wrong channel for you. If your customers are all in the US and all reachable by SMS, this solves a problem you do not have. It earns its place when a meaningful share of the people who contact you are already on WhatsApp.
Scheduling is by absolute time, not local time. You pick an instant and the send goes out within about five minutes of it. There is no "9am in each recipient's own time zone", which is a real limitation across four US time zones.
Nothing here is legal advice, and no feature makes a message compliant. Consent, disclosures and record-keeping under the TCPA and state law remain yours. What the product gives you is opt-outs that are honoured and a record of what was sent to whom.
We have one live customer and they are in the UK. Nobody here will tell you how many US businesses use this, because the honest answer is that you would be early.
No. 10DLC brand and campaign registration applies to application-to-person SMS on US carrier networks. WhatsApp messages go through Meta's Cloud API instead, so that process does not apply. Meta has its own requirements: a business account, templates it approves before you can start a conversation, and a quality rating on your number that it can restrict.
A customer replying STOP — or UNSUBSCRIBE, CANCEL, OPT OUT, REMOVE ME, or tapping WhatsApp's own opt-out button — is tagged automatically by the webhook that receives it. Every send path checks that tag before sending, including the retry that finishes a partly-failed campaign. The match is on the whole message, so a sentence that happens to contain "stop" is not mistaken for a request to stop.
Yes. You connect the number you already have through Meta — its Phone Number ID, WhatsApp Business Account ID and an access token — and a guided setup checks all three before saving them. What changes is that your team answers it from a shared inbox instead of one phone.
Not per recipient. You schedule an absolute time and everyone on the list receives it around then, within about five minutes. If you need it to land in the morning on both coasts, that is two sends.
A free plan for 100 contacts, then $10 a month for 5,000 contacts, $30 for 25,000 and $50 for unlimited. Charged in US dollars. Meta bills separately for the conversations you start — that charge comes from Meta, not from us.
Free plan, 100 contacts, no card. Connect WhatsApp and send a real message before you decide.
