The official API, on an account you own

PingPlug is built on Meta’s WhatsApp Cloud API. You connect a WhatsApp Business account registered under your own Meta business, and PingPlug calls Meta’s API with credentials you supply. Your number, your templates and your Meta billing stay in your name.

How it connects

You provide a phone number ID and an access token from your own Meta app. The token is encrypted before it is stored, and every message PingPlug sends is an authenticated call to graph.facebook.com on your behalf.

What you get

Send and receive on your number

Inbound messages arrive by webhook, outbound goes through Meta’s API. No browser automation, no session that can be logged out.

Reads your approved templates

Your template list and its approval status come from Meta, so a rejected template is visible here rather than discovered when a campaign fails.

Watches the connection

A scheduled check asks Meta whether the credentials still work, and tells you if they stop — instead of the first sign being a customer who got no reply.

Reports quality changes

Meta returns the number’s quality rating with that check. If it drops, you are told, because that rating decides how many people you can reach.

— We cannot raise your messaging limit or approve a template. Both are Meta’s decisions and no tool changes them.
— Meta bills you directly for messaging. PingPlug adds no markup and does not resell messages.

Setting it up

Create or open your own Meta app and WhatsApp Business account.

Add the phone number and get its phone number ID and an access token.

Paste them into PingPlug. The token is verified against Meta before it is saved, so a wrong value fails immediately rather than silently.

Point the webhook at PingPlug so inbound messages arrive.

Questions

Whose WhatsApp Business account is it?

Yours. It is registered under your Meta business, which means your number, your templates and your history stay with you. If a provider registers your number under their own business account, releasing it later is their action rather than yours — that is worth checking whoever you choose.

Is PingPlug a Meta partner?

No. PingPlug is built on Meta’s public Cloud API, which anyone can build on. We do not hold Business Partner status and do not describe ourselves as though we do.

What happens if my token expires?

Sends start failing with an authentication error, PingPlug marks the connection disconnected, and you get an in-app notification naming the reason Meta gave. A scheduled check also tests the credentials independently, so an expired token is caught even during a quiet week.
