the UAE

One inbox for a business that sells on WhatsApp

In the UAE the enquiry, the negotiation and the order all happen on WhatsApp — often on a number that lives on one person's phone. When they are on leave nobody can answer it, nobody else can see what was quoted last week, and there is no record of who promised what.

What applies here

Deals in dirhams, and in every other Gulf currency

AED is one of 100 currencies a deal can be valued in, alongside SAR, QAR, KWD, BHD and OMR — so a pipeline covering the whole GCC does not have to be kept in dollars and converted in someone's head.

Invoices in AED

Dirhams is one of the nine currencies an invoice can be raised in, so what you bill matches what you quoted.

Arabic templates send as Arabic

A template is sent in the language Meta approved it in, read from Meta at send time rather than assumed. An Arabic template goes out in Arabic, and a business running both languages can keep an approved template for each.

The official Meta Cloud API

The same route Meta sanctions for business messaging, rather than an unofficial tool driving a phone. Meta still sets a quality rating and a messaging limit on every number; PingPlug shows you that status and tells you when it changes.

Your existing WhatsApp Business number

You connect the number you already use. Nothing is migrated and no new number is issued.

What it does not do

  • PingPlug's own screens are in English, left to right. There is no Arabic interface and no right-to-left layout, and that is worth knowing before your team sees it. What is in Arabic is the part your customer reads: your templates, your automated replies and anything your agents type.

  • Prices are in US dollars — $10, $30 and $50 a month — and you are billed in dollars. There is no dirham price.

  • We have one live customer and they are in the UK. Nobody here will tell you how many UAE businesses use this, because the honest answer is that you would be early.

Questions

Can I use my existing UAE WhatsApp Business number?

Yes. You connect the number you already have through Meta — its Phone Number ID, WhatsApp Business Account ID and an access token — and a guided setup checks all three before saving them. The number keeps its history on your phone; what changes is that your team can answer it from a shared inbox.

Does it work in Arabic?

Your messages do. Templates send in the language Meta approved them in, so an Arabic template sends in Arabic, and your agents can type Arabic freely inside the 24-hour window. PingPlug's own interface is English and left-to-right — there is no Arabic UI or RTL layout.

Can I invoice in dirhams?

Yes. AED is one of nine invoice currencies, and deals can be valued in AED along with the other five Gulf currencies.

Is my number at risk of being banned?

Using the official Cloud API is the route Meta sanctions, which is the opposite of the unofficial tools that get numbers blocked. Meta still scores each number on a quality rating driven by blocks and reports, and can restrict one. PingPlug checks that rating hourly and tells you when it falls, which is the point at which changing what you send still helps.

How much does it cost in the UAE?

The same as everywhere outside Pakistan and India: a free plan for 100 contacts, then $10 a month for 5,000 contacts, $30 for 25,000 and $50 for unlimited. Billing is in US dollars.
