Worth knowing before you sign up

— The AI widget needs your own provider API key. There is no bundled AI allowance, and the provider bills you directly for what it uses.
— Answer quality follows the knowledge base. A thin knowledge base produces a vague widget, and no model setting fixes that.
— It is not a full live-chat product: no queueing, no canned-response library, no visitor-typing indicator.

Questions

Is the widget included in the free plan?

Yes — nothing in PingPlug is gated by plan. What the AI widget needs is an API key from an AI provider, which you supply. Groq and Google Gemini have free tiers, so it can genuinely cost nothing.

Will it make things up about my business?

It answers from the knowledge base you write, which is the point of writing one. Anything you have not covered is where it is weakest, so the honest advice is to cover the questions you actually get asked and let it hand over for the rest.

Can I use it without AI at all?

Yes. The WhatsApp-button version needs no AI provider and no key — it opens a conversation with your business number, and that lands in the shared inbox.

What happens to the conversation afterwards?

It appears in the inbox as a conversation your team can answer, so a question asked at 11pm is not lost by morning.
